     There's a lot of whinging going on lately.

     And honestly, I don't exclude myself from it, either. Seems it's been a tough year for most anyone who's bothered to go out and try to experience it.

     There're a lot of things that are spinning beyond our control now... a good many things that, besides pissing us off or upsetting us, can really make us feel rather helpless.

     Sometimes, I sit and I think back through my life and a lot of the things I've been through... a lot of strife and struggle, a lot of Death and a lot of very real pain. A lot of problems. And, of course, the standard lot of Bullshit.

     So whenever someone asks me "So, Mark, what are you most thankful for?" I suppose I answer a bit differently than most.

     You know, I'm just happy I'm still alive.
